At this Italian Villa style home in Memphis, Tennessee, the design focused on providing an outdoor space for family gatherings. The homeowners wanted a space to enjoy with their grandchildren and space for an occasional dip in the pool. Two large Japanese Maples flank the custom gate and provide visual interest to the courtyard in the fall.
In this small space, the challenge was to create a natural transition from the elevated home to the garden below.
OSD provided landscape architecture design, managed the bidding and negotiation of the construction contract and provided construction observation services for this project.
