Along the main street on the Isle of Palms, this home is nestled among a number of grand oaks and up against the Intercoastal Waterway.
Several existing site elements like stormwater runoff and building access gave OSD an opportunity to develop some creative solutions to satisfy the existing site challenges while meeting the needs and vision of the client to truly create something special. With inspiration taken from the home’s architecture, OSD designed an ipe boardwalk system to connect the front parking, to the front door and ultimately to the outdoor entertaining spaces that include a beautiful infinity pool. Detailed design elements such as bluestone inlays in the boardwalk act as welcome mats in addition to the lush tropical plant palette that enhances the coastal look and intimate feel of the exterior living spaces.
